Ultimate 50,000 INR AMD Gaming PC

With the PC world being taken over by the launch of AMD’s new Ryzen CPUs and then with the low-key launch of the RX 500 GPUs, I decided it was time to put together an AMD powered Gaming PC under 50,000 INR . This Build can handle all the latest games like Battlefield 1, DOOM, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Injustice 2 and others maxed out at 1080p easily over 60fps. This can also handle other productivity and video editing tasks thanks to the Quad Core CPU and a pretty capable 4GB Graphics Card. So, let’s dig right into the parts!

CPU: Ryzen 5 1400                    (Rs.12,799)

For the processor, I’m going with the entry level Ryzen 5 1400 since it fits the budget perfectly and is an outstanding processor. As for performance is concerned, it absolutely thrashes its direct competitor- The Intel Core i3 (7th Gen) and also goes head to head with the i5 (7th Gen). The Ryzen 5 1400 is a Quad Core CPU with hyper threading (#8 threads) with a base clock speed of base clock speed of 3.2Ghz and turbo boost upto 3.4Ghz. It also has a TDP of just 65W. With the cherry on top being, it comes with Wraith Stealth Cooler which is by far one of the best stock coolers in today’s market.

RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 8GB  (RS.4,848)

This RAM stick from Corsair is very reliable and surely gets the job done at the right price. At this price point, an 8GB RAM config would be perfect. The Vengeance LPX 8GB is a DDR4 RAM module which runs at 2133Mhz. Also, it is available in Red which adds to the over-all AMD theme of this build.

MOTHERBOARD: ASUS B350M-A  (Rs.7,110)

The B350M-A as the name suggests is a Micro ATX Motherboard and is based on the new AM4 platform to support Ryzen CPUs. This Mobo comes with a slew of features including, 4 RAM slots which is nice, 2 USB 3.1 ports(not Type-C though) also has an M.2 slot!! The motherboard also has a reinforced PCle slot with an LED Indicator to hold your GPU.

ROM: WD Blue 1TB HDD (Rs.3,565)

As for storage, 1 TB should be enough to hold all games, movies, songs, documents etc. Selecting the hard drive was quite simple, I went with the WD Blue 1 TB HDD. It runs at 7200 rpm which is nice. But keep in mind, the first upgrade you do for the PC should be an SSD and since the Motherboard of our choice has an M.2 slot, an M.2 SSD would be a great upgrade.

GPU: Asus ROG Strix RX 570 4GB (Rs.16,849)

Ah the Graphics Card, the most interesting part of the build! Since this is an AMD powered PC, The newly launched RX 500 series GPU was the obvious choice. I decided to go with the Asus ROG Strix RX 570 4GB Graphics Card. It has a base clock speed of 1244 Mhz and can be overclocked further. The card has the patented Wing   Blade 0dB Fan Design and also the Asus Aura RGB Lighting. The card has 2 x DVI Ports, 1 x HDMI 2.0 Port and 1 x Display Port and as mentioned, has 4GB of memory. Though this card is officially not launched in India, it is available on many online shopping websites. It wouldn’t be tough to get your hands on this one.

PSU: Thermaltake Litepower 450W (Rs.2,199)

To power this PC, a 450W Power Supply Unit should be more than sufficient. The Thermaltake Litepower 450W PSU does it for us. It is has certified 70+ efficiency and comes with a 120mm fan for the air flow. Since its not modular a power supply, we need to deal with those extra ugly cables. But it’s something we can compromise on given the Rs.2,200 price point.

CASE: Corsair Carbide Spec-01 (Rs.4062)

Finally, to house all these parts we are using a Corsair Carbide Spec-01 Micro ATX Case. The case comes included with a red LED 120mm fan at the front and another 120mm fan at the back. and has plenty of space for decent cable management. The Red accents and the fan just fit right into the theme of the build and also gives off an aggressive gamer vibe. The top panel has 1 USB 3.0 header and 1 USB 2.0 header, headphone/microphone jacks and Power,Reset Buttons. The case has an acrylic glass side-panel so that you can admire your work while Windows boots up!
